Most automatic car washes run your car through a tunnel of spinning brushes that haven’t been properly cleaned since the last hundred vehicles went through. That grit gets dragged across your paint. You drive out looking cleaner, technically, but your clear coat is slowly being scratched to death.

Hand washing is different. Every panel gets attention from a person, not a machine. We use soft wash mitts, we rinse them regularly, and we adjust how we work based on what we’re cleaning. It takes longer, but it’s 100% worth it.

What's Included in our Hand Car Wash?

We offer three hand wash packages to suit different needs and budgets. Whether you’re after a quick exterior clean or a full inside-and-out treatment, every wash is done by hand – properly.

Express Wash

A proper exterior hand wash. We hand wash the full exterior, chamois dry to prevent water spots, wipe down doors and boot surrounds, and finish with tyre treatment. Clean car, no drama.

Good for: regular maintenance washing, keeping on top of Darwin’s dust and salt between bigger cleans.

Super Hand Wash

This one covers everything inside and out. Full vacuum including the boot, hand wash and chamois dry, door and boot surrounds wiped, dashboard and door trims wiped down, windows cleaned inside and out, tyre treatment, and an air freshener to finish. It’s our most thorough wash package and the one most of our regulars come back for.

Good for: when you want the whole car done properly, not just the outside.

Polish Wash

When washing isn’t enough. The Polish Wash includes a clay bar treatment to pull out the bonded contaminants that shampoo can’t shift — tar, metal particles, road fallout embedded in your paint — followed by a hand polish to bring the gloss back. If your paint looks dull or feels rough to the touch, this is where you start.

Good for: paint that needs more than a clean, vehicles that haven’t been properly decontaminated in a while.

  • What's the difference between the Express Wash and Super Hand Wash?

    The Express Wash is exterior only – hand wash, chamois dry, tyre treatment, doors and boot wiped. The Super Hand Wash adds a full interior vacuum, dashboard and trim wipe, windows cleaned inside and out, and air freshener. If you want both interior and exterior cleaned, the Super Hand Wash is the right choice.

  • How long does a hand car wash take?

    The Express Wash typically takes 20-30 minutes. The Super Hand Wash takes 40-60 minutes depending on vehicle size.

  • Do you wash 4WDs and larger vehicles?

    Yes, all our wash packages are available for 4WDs with adjusted pricing.

  • Is hand washing safe for ceramic-coated vehicles?

    Yes. Hand washing is the recommended maintenance method for ceramic-coated vehicles. We wash by hand without harsh chemicals or abrasive equipment.

  • What if my car is heavily soiled?

    For heavily contaminated vehicles – caked mud, heavy insect buildup, or paint that needs more than a wash – our Polish Wash or Full Detail Wash may be more appropriate. We’ll advise when you bring your vehicle in.
